Preschool Program

Preschoolers enter a completely different stage in their development. At this time, preschool children have developed language skills. They are ready for a more advanced curriculum.

Every day our preschool program includes an in depth circle time. During this circle time children learn numbers, letters, phonics, patterns, songs, manners, weather, days of the week, months and a themed lesson. Circle time in preschool last 15 to 30 minutes.

Our preschool program encourages each child with even more advanced self help skills than our toddler 2 program. Children are encourage to dress themselves, clean up their own messes, ask their teacher’s for what they need and problem solve with their peers.

Math and language skills are a major part of our preschool program. Children will really start to learn number and letter recognition. Preschool children will also advance their fine motor skills but writing letters, numbers, words and names. To create more hands on learning preschool children also use scissors to cut out big letters and numbers. Our preschool program incorporates the same skills as our toddler 2 program but more advanced. Children start to learn to sort objects on their own, create patterns on their own, decide with number is bigger or smaller. Children also learn how to put numbers and sequencing pictures in order.

Our preschool program incorporates science experiments. The children are at a stage now where they can make observations and talk about what they see. They are also about to talk about what is happening before their eyes! Our teachers carefully plan out weekly science experiments to enhance their learning and knowledge of the world around them.

Our preschool program continues to encourage each child to explore the world around them through art and sensory activities. Also, each shelf activity and child directed activity is carefully planned by our teachers to teach each child. Children will learn through their own curiosity and exploration with the activities, toys and materials placed in each classroom.
