Extra-Curricular Activities

Foundations offer numerous "extra" curricular activities that are INCLUDED in our tuition.  Currently we are offering:

Yoga - Damselfy Yoga comes once a month for the Preschool and Pre-K Classrooms

Dance - Full Circle Dance comes in for a thirty minute class, once a week for all of our classrooms; Toddler 1, Toddler 2, Preschool and Pre-K.

Sports - HERO Kids Sports is coming every other week through the summer to teach Toddler 2, Preschool and Pre-K a different sport each week!

Lunch and Snacks

Foundations believes that family’s should be able to choose and guide what their child eats for lunch. In many cases, families have put restrictions in place regarding certain foods. This is why Foundations allows each family to prepare a lunch for their child and bring it to school. Our classrooms are set up to allow families to bring lunch items that need to be heated up (soup, spaghetti, etc).

Foundations knows that one of the busiest times of day for families is in the morning. Not only do we recognize each family has to get at least one child ready for their school day, but they have to get themselves ready for work as well. This is why Foundations will offer a choice to each family, each morning for lunch.

To make our “On the Go” Lunch Program easy, you may sign up as your drop your child off each morning. Foundations will charge accounts weekly based on how many times you signed up for On the Go lunch. Each lunch is $5.

Foundations Early Childhood Education provides a morning and afternoon snack. Typically snack time is 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. If a child is dropped off early in the morning, we are happy to prepare breakfast for your child that is supplied by the family.

Classroom and Playgrounds

Foundations Early Childhood Education has two goals; to meet each child’s needs and prepare them for their future. Our spacious classrooms allow room for children to learn and explore. All activities are separated into “interest areas”. Each interest area is full of materials that promote learning and exploration. All activities are placed with thought and a purpose by our teachers.

Our classrooms are large enough that provide space for children to practice gross motor skills if the weather is too hot or too cold to go outside. Foundations has special equipment to bring into the classroom on days that the weather does not allow children to use the playgrounds.

Each and every day Foundations implements science, math, language, sign language, art, gross motor, fine motor and dramatic play in the classroom. Part of creating a comfortable environment for children involves allowing children to spend enough time in a space to become comfortable and secure. All activities are done in the classroom or on the playground. Even though the children spend most of their time in the classroom, the variety of activities keeps them busy, happy, learning and having fun.

The colors of each classroom promote comfort, happiness and calmness.

Foundations Early Childhood Education has two playgrounds for the different ages of children we teach. Preschool and Pre–Kindergarten share a playground, while Infants and Toddlers share a playground. The play structures on each playground are safe for each developmental age while offering freedom. All children, weather permitting, use our playgrounds once in the morning and once in the afternoon.

Foundations' Environment

Foundations Early Childhood education believes that although we are here to teach and care for children, we are also here for the families of the children.  We pride ourselves on making the extra effort to say hello, goodbye and to always be available for questions.  We have built relationships with each of our current families and look forward to building relationships with future families as well!
